Melalui SK maupun Pergub tersebut, secara tak langsung Herman Deru berupaya agar harga jual sawit tidak ada ketimpangan di setiap daerah.
“Jangan ada ketimpangan dan hanya memperbandingkan sana sisi terkait harga sawit tersebut. Jadi nantinya ada acuan yang sesuai,” terangnya.
Sebab itu, dia mengajak semua pihak termasuk Asosiasi Petani Kelapa Sawit Indonesia (APKASINDO) Sumsel untuk mendorong kesejahteraan para petani sawit.
“APKASINDO harus jadi jembatan bagi kepentingan petani. Jembatan petani dengan perusahaan kelapa sawit sampai dengan industri hilirnya seperti minyak goreng, maupun jembatan ke pemerintah,” tegasnya.
Diketahui, pemerintah sendiri memang mempunyai program replanting atau peremajaan sawit dan hal itu tentu harus mendapat dorongan dari APKASINDO sehingga dapat dimanfaatkan para petani.
“Replanting ini harus sukses. Dimana ini adalah kemudahan bagi para petani untuk melakukan peremajaan sawit dengan skema pembiayaan yang murah. APKASINDO juga harus membimbing petani jika sawit para petani ini belum berbuah lagi. Apa yang harus dilakukan para petani tersebut,” tuturnya.
Bahkan, dia juga mendorong agar APKASINDO mendirikan Pabrik Kelapa Sawit (PKS) sendiri untuk menampung tandan buah segar (TBS) sawit yang dihasilkan para petani.
“APKASINDO harus ada pabrik sendiri agar bisa menampung TBS Sawit dari para petani. Dengan adanya pabrik tersebut, APKASINDO dapat lebih mandiri dan terus bergantung dengan pihak lain sehingga bisa langsung diolah menjadi CPO. Paling tidak daya tahan CPO itu lebih lama dari TBS,” ujarnya.
